Master Assessment Tool: Technical Specifications
The SISXIND001 Master Assessment Tool consists of three (3) Assessment Tasks that are mapped to the unit of competence.
The Assessment Tasks are:
- Assessment Task 1: Written Assessment
- Assessment Task 2: Practical Observation
- Assessment Task 3: Written Project
All our Master Assessment Tool contain the following features:
*NOTE 1: These instructions provide your assessor with an overview of the assessment and with information on what to do before the assessment, rules for conducting the assessment, rules for making the assessment decision, and what to do after the assessment. This section also provides your assessor with familiarity on the assessment tool by providing them with information on how and why our documents are color coded, and electronic file naming rules for creating student and assessor versions of this assessment. This section also provides your assessor with a support contact from your RTO.
**NOTE 2: This information provides the student with the overview of the assessment, conditions of the assessment, reasons why an assessor would stop an assessment, referencing rules for the student to follow, information on the reasonable adjustment that can be made by the assessor, and information on late submissions.

ASSESSMENT TASK 1: TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONSAssessment Task One: Technical Summary
PART A)
For this assessment task, your students will be required to research three organisations from the sport, recreation industry and prepare a written report.
In particular, your student will be assessed on their ability to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of the different types of information sources for the fitness, sports, and recreation industry. (Example: websites, books, unions etc…)
- Demonstrate knowledge of the sport and recreation industry in relation to social and economic issues for three different fitness organisations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the sectors of the sport and recreation industry and their interrelationships, roles, and functions. (Remember: can you obtain information from peak bodies, unions, fitness organisations etc…)
- Use self-management skills to complete work tasks efficiently and within designated timeframes and demonstrate literacy skills to research, analyse relevant information.
PART B)
For this part of the task, your student's will be required to read a case study that has been provided to them and research topical information surrounding that case study. Once all the information has been obtained your student will then be required to write a written report based on their findings from the case study. The case study topic is on social justice and human rights.
PART C)
For this part of the task, your students will be required to answer five (5) short answer questions based on the information they researched.

ASSESSMENT TASK 2: TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
This task is to be performed in groups of three, with two students being assessed as fitness instructors and one student acting as the ‘client’. Your students will have two role plays to perform and act out as phone conferences, demonstrating how you deal with a phone call from two clients, each on separate occasions.
Due to the similarity of this task with that of the SISXCCS001 Provide Quality Service unit, you may wish to assess this task in conjunction the Provide Quality Service unit.

ASSESSMENT TASK 3: TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
PART A)
This assessment task is about minimising risks to personal and public safety. Your students will be required to observe a workplace and identify potential or actual risks. This assessment task is best observed during the students work placement, however, it can also be administered in a simulated environment if required.
PART B)
For this assessment task your students will need to provide examples from their workplace where they have implemented effective customer service practices. The collection of this evidence should take place over a period of time (a minimum of one week during their work placement is recommended). This will ensure that they, your student, is able to provide themselves with every opportunity to interact, assist and support clients within a fitness organisation.
