Safe Driver Program
Designed for Years 10, 11 and 12 Students
Did you know that a recent international study discovered that people involved in serious road trauma are:
- More likely to lose their job
- Remain unemployed for at least 12 months longer
- Have an on-going income gap compared to non-road trauma victims!
This program has been developed for Secondary Schools across Australia. Our focus is to help educate young Australians on how to drive safety and efficiently according to our road rules and public expectations. This unique program has been developed by Intelligent Training Solutions and delivered to over 7000 participants since 2003 in Victoria alone. This program offers participants information on how to become better, safer drivers regardless of their driving experiences. More than just an information “dump” comprehensively different from a traditional Pre-Driver Education program, this course will ask students to investigate their social and lifestyle decisions that will impact their road safety outcomes. The survival road to adulthood will be safer and clearer as a result of participating in this program. Our Safe Driver Program includes topics such as:
Unit Code | Unit Name |
---|---|
TLIF0078A | Recognise motor vehicle road crash risks and post crash actions |
TLIF0075A | Demonstrate awareness of interacting with other road users |
TLIF0079A | Select a safe vehicle |
TLIF0077A | Demonstrate knowledge of risk factors and consequences in interacting with other road users |
TLIF2010A | Apply fatigue management strategies |
TLIB2004A | Carry out vehicle inspection |
Training Location
We are committed to this community based program which is delivered on campus at your school. Regardless of your class size or school’s location we will endeavour to deliver this program to your students.
Outcomes and Evidence
We offer assessment support for schools wanting evidence based participation. Our program has been mapped to Victoria’s VCAL outcomes. This mapping can also be provided to any other states in Australia. Schools who choose to enrol their participants into our units of competence will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment*. Participants will also receive a Certificate of Completion issued by Intelligent Training Solutions.
*NOTE: The enrolled units of competence for this program do not constitute a formal qualification and therefore will have no effect on a student’s ability to enrol into a Higher Education or TAFE course in the future.
Course Duration
Our Safe Driver Program is flexible in delivery with the program being delivered all year round. This program can be customised to suit your schools time and budget requirements. Regardless if we deliver a “one-off” or “series” of sessions we are more than happy to meet with you and discuss a course structure that suits your school’s needs.
