T&Cs Clause 5 – Course Transfers

This clause applies to any student requesting a transfer into another course.


Course transfers process when requested by a student

 

A student-requested course transfer will only be processed if a minimum of eight days’ notice is provided to Intelligent Training Solutions. Students who request a course transfer must do so in one of two ways:

  1. In writing by completing the Internal Course Transfer Form located in the Student Administration section of this website. 
  2. Via email.

 

Any student requesting to have their enrolment into a course transferred within eight days of the course commencement date will have their request declined.

Any student that requests a transfer of their enrolment within eight days of the course commencement date, due to the reason of ‘work commitments’ will have their request declined. Intelligent Training Solutions will not take on the financial loss of a student who does not, or will not, show up for class because they were called into work. It is important to note that Intelligent Training Solutions also has staff who reply on a student’s attendance for their livelihood.   

 

NOTE 1 – Swapping with another student

If you can find another person to take over your enrolment, effectively replacing your enrolment with another (1:1), Intelligent Training Solutions, at its discretion, will arrange for you to receive either a refund under Clause 4.1 of the refund clause or a fee-free transfer under this clause. Intelligent Training Solutions will make the decision on which clause will be implemented.

 

NOTE 2 – Special circumstances

If you are unable to attend due to hospitalisation or the death of a family member, a fee-free transfer will be considered; however, you must provide evidence via a Medical Certificate or death notice that states you were unable to attend due to hospitalisation or the death of a family member.

 

NOTE 3 – Medical Illness (FIRST AID COURSES ONLY, EXCLUDING THE HLTAID014 PROVIDE ADVANCED FIRST AID COURSE)*

If you are unable to attend your first aid course (HLTAID009, HLTAID010, HLTAID011, or the HLTAID012), excluding the HLTAID014 course, due to illness, including COVID, or a medical emergency, Intelligent Training Solutions will transfer your enrolment at the cost of $17.50, providing that you supply our administration office with a medical certificate signed by a medical health professional within seven days of your intended course date. Failure to provide a medical certificate will result in your enrolment being cancelled and fees forfeited.

 

NOTE 4 – Medical Illness (ALL OTHER COURSES, INCLUDING THE HLTAID014 PROVIDE ADVANCED FIRST AID COURSE)*

For all courses, excluding those listed in NOTE 3 above, in the event that the student is unable to attend their course due to illness, including COVID, or a medical emergency, the student’s enrolment fees will be forfeited. No refunds or transfers can be applied. 

REASON: Courses such as Working At Heights, Defensive Driver Courses, Test and Tag, and Advanced First Aid courses etc… are delivered on low participant numbers to ensure the quality of education.  This is unlike our other first aid courses, which have a great volume of participants per course to help cover operating costs. Any student who is unable to attend a short course for any reason will have their fees forfeited. 

 

*NOTE: In accordance with the ACCC, a business does not have to provide a refund if the student simply changes their mind. Intelligent Training Solutions does not provide refunds or transfers for reasons of medical illness (being sick), including COVID, for students who do not show up to their course, or for students who arrive late to class and are then excluded from their session. There is no legal obligation to provide a student or organisation with a refund under these circumstances. Any refunds issued will be at the sole discretion of the Intelligent Training Solutions management team. 


Transfer Fees

A student-requested course transfer will incur a fee of $17.50. This fee will need to be paid in full otherwise, the transfer of the enrolment will be declined. 

Enrolments, where the transfer was initiated by Intelligent Training Solutions, will be processed fee-free.  

 


Exceptions to this clause

There is one exception to this clause. If a student submits an enrolment form, they will have a maximum of 24 hours, starting from the time of their submission*, to transfer from their course into another Intelligent Training Solutions course without incurring the transfer fee, providing that there is a minimum of three days (72 hours) before the course commencement date. 

*NOTE: Enrolment submissions are time stamped by the website. 

 


Course postponed or cancelled by Intelligent Training Solutions

 

In the event that your course was postponed or cancelled by Intelligent Training Solutions, you will be offered a fee-free transfer into another course of your choice, date, and location, or provided with a full refund. See Clause 4 – Refunds.

It is important to note that this does not include a course that was postponed or cancelled by Intelligent Training Solutions due to imposed government restrictions, government lockdowns, or COVID-related closures. Any course postponed due to government restrictions, government lockdowns, or COVID-related closures will have their enrolment processed under Clause 4 – Sub-clause 4.5.

If you are offered a transfer into another course, and you accept that offer*, each student will be subject to the standard terms and conditions. In the event the student changes their mind, any application or a refund or transfer will be processed in accordance with Clause 4 and Clause 5 of these terms and conditions. 

*Before Intelligent Training Solutions will transfer you into a course, Intelligent Training Solutions will seek your written approval via an email or a course transfer application form.
